Dispute Resolution
Effective: June 2026
This page summarizes how disputes between you and the protected parties are resolved. It supplements our Terms of Use.
Informal resolution first
Before filing a formal claim, contact us at legal@legaldocbuilder.com with a description of the dispute and the resolution you are seeking. Most disputes can be resolved informally within a reasonable period.
Governing law
Unless prohibited by applicable law, these policies and your use of the platform are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws provisions. Mandatory consumer-protection laws of your jurisdiction continue to apply where they cannot be waived.
Venue
Unless required otherwise by applicable law, any claim not subject to arbitration shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in the State of Delaware, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
Class action waiver
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, disputes shall be resolved on an individual basis. You and the protected parties waive any right to participate in a class, collective, or representative action.
Equitable relief
Nothing in this policy prevents either party from seeking injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to protect intellectual property or confidential information.
Carve-outs
Some jurisdictions do not allow choice-of-law, venue, or class-action waivers. In those jurisdictions, the provisions above apply to the maximum extent permitted by law.
